About the Haven
What is Mesozoic Haven?
Mesozoic Haven is a dinosaur and prehistoric-life community built around approachable articles, gaming, livestreams, creature discussion, media, and hanging out with other people who enjoy similar things.
Do I need to know a lot about dinosaurs to join?
Not at all. The Haven is meant for longtime dinosaur fans and complete beginners alike. Knowing that you think a Spinosaurus looks rawrsome is already enough to start a conversation.
Is Mesozoic Haven only about dinosaurs?
No. Dinosaurs are at the center of the theme, but the Haven also covers other prehistoric animals, creature-focused games, reptiles, dragons and monsters, movies and media, streaming, and general community conversation.
Who are Kenson and Riptide?
Kenson created and runs Mesozoic Haven. Riptide is the Haven's friendly grey Spinosaurus mascot and guide, recognizable by his dark-red sail and tail-tip accents.
Community & Safety
Is Mesozoic Haven family-friendly?
The website and Kenson's own content aim to stay broadly family-friendly and approachable. Community chat is a little looser: mild language may happen, but strong profanity, sexual content, graphic material, hate, and harassment are not welcome. The community rules are the final reference.
How old do I need to be to join the community chat?
The Discord and Root community spaces are strictly for people age 13 and older. Anyone discovered to be under 13 will be removed from those spaces.
Do you allow political or origins debates?
Mesozoic Haven is meant to be a calm place to enjoy prehistoric life, games, and community. Politics and debates over evolution versus creation are intentionally kept out of the site's normal content and community focus.
Where should I report a rule or safety concern?
Please contact the community staff privately through Discord or Root rather than turning a report into a public argument. Serious concerns should include enough context for staff to understand what happened.
Discord, Root & Community Activity
Should I join Discord or Root?
Discord is the primary Mesozoic Haven chat and is currently where you are most likely to find the full community. Root is a good alternative if you prefer it, and both are linked from the community page.
Does Mesozoic Haven host game servers?
Not all the time. Game servers come and go depending on what the community is actively playing, so the site only promotes them when there is something current to join.
What games does the Haven focus on?
Common interests include Path of Titans, ARK, Monster Hunter, dinosaur survival games, creature-focused games, and other titles that fit the community. The exact mix changes over time.
Where can I find events and stream schedules?
Community activities are listed on the Events page. Kenson's livestream links are also available throughout the site, and schedule details may change when streaming is on hiatus or being adjusted.
Articles, Accuracy & Privacy
Are the creature pages written for experts?
No. They are meant to be approachable first, while still using sources and making room for updates when new or better-supported information becomes available.
Can I suggest a correction or addition?
Absolutely. If you spot something outdated, unclear, or incorrect, use the Contact page or community chat and include a reliable source when possible.
Does the website track me?
Mesozoic Haven is intentionally privacy-conscious. The site does not currently use Mesozoic Haven advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. Some third-party embeds and links may follow their own privacy practices.
Is the website designed with accessibility in mind?
Yes. The site includes accessibility controls, keyboard-friendly navigation, readable typography, reduced-motion support, and an Accessibility page with more detail.
Still Curious?
Riptide says there is always another trail.
